VMware vCloud Air Services

I have recently started using the public cloud of VMware i.e vCloud Air. Although I have been using AWS from quite a long time so just trying to relate and learn. I was little confused when I tried finding something similar to the AWS S3 in vCloud Air. It would be great if you can help me with this.

Hello Parth,
VMware vCloud Air offers a basic set of services that an infrastructure on the public cloud would need. They are also enhancing this set like, recently they launched vCloud Air SQL which is similar to AWS RDS. Likewise they are also coming with a service equivalent to AWS S3, known as vCloud Air Object Storage.
You can find more about this service following this link : http://blogs.vmware.com/tribalknowledge/2015/05/showcasing-vmware-vcloud-air-object-storage-powered-emc-emc-world.html
Feel free to post for any other queries.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering if vCloud Air has something like IAM Policies in Amazon Web Services. I couldn’t find anything like that yet.

Hey Parth, IAM is basically for managing numerous users by giving different permissions. VMware vCloud Air also has user management which allows you to give any of the 5 level of permissions to the user. You can get a better idea on this by viewing the following link,
